A life within a play. Philip Seymoure Hoffman plays a troubled theater director who’s purpose in life has become to present a play which contains every detail of his life. Because he wants to include everything, the play never seems to end. That everything becomes nothing.

Can’t handle her beauty
Today I watched The Master.
Written and Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson
Joaquin and Philip acting together is an unexpected pleasure to watch. For me, with Philip the film has very few possibilities of failure, but about Joaquin I was not so sure. Surprisingly, his performance was very respectful. His postures, movements, gestures, and speech each depicted the character to perfection. Freddie didn’t even look like Joaquin. Though in the end the characters don’t change, everything stays the same, the relationship they develop throughout the movie is very interesting and complex.
I really recommend this film.
